April Showers Bring May Flowers…

It’s storming outside and so I’m reminded of the saying, “April Showers Bring May Flowers.”  It’s a nice little way of letting us know that this crummy weather that stirs up all that pollen and those allergy activators are for a good purpose.  Of course, that’s what we tell ourselves when we’re sneezing, blowing our noses, and wiping away the tears from our watery eyes 😉  But don’t get me wrong.  I still like April!  It’s a time for warmer weather and the start of a new season and new opportunities.

As in most of our first blogs of the new month, I like to review what we did last month and go over what’s coming up for this month.  Last month we had our Ladies’ Night and it was a blast!  We’re planning another one soon.  Mark your calenders when we announce it so you won’t miss it.  We also spent last Friday at Open Arms Child Development Center in Slidell.  The office was able to provide massages and health tips for the hard working staff at this wonderful child care facility.  It was a great time and one we’d love to do for any other organization you think may benefit from our services.  We always enjoy sharing the gifts of relaxation and health tips that may positively impact your health.  Just give us a call if you’d like to set something up.

During April, the office is putting together a program for identifying and eliminating those things that cause allergic responses.  This can include reactions to pollen, mold, pet dander, and even food intolerances.  Stay tuned for more info!

This Thursday, we are planning our workshop highlighting tips for dealing with Fibromyalgia.  We still have a few spots left so please consider joining us for this free, no obligation program designed to not only discuss the ins and outs of Fibromyalgia, but also some great helpful and holistic ideas for taking control of your health instead of letting your body control you.   We will be starting at 6:30pm at our office at 436 Old Spanish Trail in Slidell.  If you need directions or have any questions, please call the office at (985) 641-4898.  We look forward to seeing you there 🙂

Have a great April everyone and keep those May flowers in mind next time you hear thunder!

Yours in health,

Dr. Kristin Nuccio Smith, DC
