Welcome to My Blog – Dr. Kristin Smith DC

Welcome to the very first post on this blog! Before we get started, I should probably tell you a little about myself. I grew up in Slidell and graduated from Pope John Paul II High School. While completing my undergraduate studies in Exercise Physiology at the University of New Orleans, I worked at Global Medical Center as a chiropractic assistant. While there, I saw the alterations that were possible through Chiropractic. Patients experienced life altering changes after receiving adjustments to their spines. It opened my eyes to the possibility that by removing the nerve interference causing health problems, I could help people have hope as well as health. This inspired me to attend Life University in Atlanta, Georgia, where I graduated Cum Laude with my Doctorate in Chiropractic. I spent some time practicing in Georgia, but after having our son Ian, my husband Nathan and I decided it was time to head home to be with friends and family.

As a chiropractor, I focus on providing a drug-free, non-surgical approach to health by assessing the spine and correcting interference with normal nerve transmission. I’ve had the privilege of providing care for people ages one day old to 92 years. Though I love people of all ages, I have a special interest in helping moms to be throughout the 9 months of changes their bodies can undergo. I also love to make sure babies and children grow with well aligned spines which will enable them to have properly functioning nervous systems. This ensures they will be more likely to be healthy and active throughout their lives.

Please remember to check back at this blog from time to time to make sure you’re kept informed about your health. We will be learning about chiropractic, announcing special events going on at the office, answering your questions, and providing you with the tools you need to function at a higher level while feel great at the same time. I feel so excited to be in my hometown and back at Global Medical Center sharing the experience and benefits of chiropractic with the people of the Slidell community. Please feel free to stop by the office any time or send me a message on Facebook. I promise to do my very best to help you in any way possible. Your health is incredibly important to me!
